Terms and Conditions for QAi Talks

Welcome to QAi Talks. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Student") and QAi Talks [Insert Legal Entity Name] ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms govern your participation in our 12-week remote technical bootcamps and your use of our AI-driven career services.
1. Eligibility and Enrollment
- 1.1 Age: You must be at least 19 years of age to enrol.
- 1.2 Residency: You warrant that you have the right to work and reside in the United Kingdom.
- 1.3 Technical Baseline: Our 12-week curriculum is designed for learners transitioning into technical roles. Success requires a commitment to the full 12-week duration.
2. Bootcamp Delivery and Career Outcomes
- 2.1 Duration: The programme is a 12-week intensive remote technical bootcamp.
- 2.2 Career Support: We provide interview guidance and mock interview preparations to help students get ready for the market.
- 2.3 No Guarantee: QAi Talks does not guarantee employment or the securing of a job interview. Career success depends on individual performance and external market conditions.
3. AI and Automated Decision-Making (ADM)
- 3.1 The AI Framework: We use multi-agent orchestration for real-time competency scoring and CV optimisation.
- 3.2 DUAA 2025 Safeguards: Under Section 4A of the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, you have the right to request a human review of any automated finding (such as a final competency score) and the right to contest decisions that significantly affect your certification.
4. Media Release and Social Media
- 4.1 Recordings: Mock interviews and live sessions are recorded for training purposes.
- 4.2 Social Media Grant: With your explicit opt-in consent, you grant QAi Talks a license to host and distribute your identifiable video/audio footage on platforms including YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook for promotional and educational purposes.
- 4.3 Withdrawal: You may withdraw consent for future uploads at any time via [email protected].
5. Intellectual Property (IP)
- 5.1 Curriculum IP: All teaching materials and "demo apps" remain the exclusive property of QAi Talks.
- 5.2 Student Portfolio: You retain ownership of the original code you develop. You grant us a limited license to use this code solely for evaluation and feedback.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy (DMCC 2024 Compliance)
- 6.1 Statutory Cooling-Off: Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your enrollment within 14 days of purchase.
- 6.2 Commencement of Services: If you attend the first live class or access digital course materials, you acknowledge that the service has commenced at your request.
- 6.3 Refund Window: If you attend the first class and submit a refund claim within seven (7) days of that attendance (provided it is within the 14-day statutory window), a refund will be issued subject to pro-rata deductions and a management fee.
- 6.4 Management Fee: A non-refundable £100 Administrative & Management Fee is deducted from all refunds after service commencement to cover enrollment processing and technical environment provisioning.
- 6.5 Calculation Example:
- Scenario: A student pays £1,200 for the 12-week bootcamp.
- Step 1 (Weekly Value): £1,200 / 12 weeks = £100 per week.
- Step 2 (Service Used): Student attends Week 1 (the first class) and then claims a refund within 7 days.
- Step 3 (Deductions):
Pro-rata cost for 1 week of service: £100
Non-refundable Management Fee: £100
Total Deduction: £200. - Step 4 (Final Refund): £1,200 minus £200 = £1,000 Total Refund.
- 6.6 High Completion Forfeiture: If you have accessed more than 25% of the total 12-week curriculum content, no refund will be issued as the value of the service provided exceeds initial cooling-off protections.
7. Technical Conduct and Security
- 7.1 Prohibited Acts: You may not use our "real-world demo apps" to scrape data or perform malicious acts.
- 7.2 Monitoring: We use automated security logging. Violations result in immediate termination without refund.
8. Limitation of Liability
- 8.1 AI Outputs: QAi Talks is not liable for AI "hallucinations" or errors in automated scoring.
- 8.2 Third-Party Uptime: We are not liable for outages caused by providers such as OpenAI, Vercel, or Stripe.
9. Mandatory Complaints and Disputes
- 9.1 Internal First: In accordance with the DUAA 2025, you must first attempt to resolve disputes through our Internal Complaints Portal (available in your dashboard).
- 9.2 Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
